DH has gone all civilised.
He requested a teapot for his birthday in order to facilitate this transformation and DD did a brilliant job creating one for him at the Emma Bridgewater Pottery Cafe.
Now Emma Bridgewater makes her teapots a very generous size. Poor DH would have had to drink 6 cups in half an hour to still have warm tea... I'm not actually sure the tea cosy I made will keep it that much warmer, but it does give the impression of taking tea with a Totoro.

I am a big fan of tea cozies -- I use a quilted one that my husband's great aunt made and it keeps the tea warm for hours. Which means I feel obligated to drink the whole pot (when it's herbal -- I'm not going to subject myself to non-stop caffeine insanity) so I'm constantly fighting with my bladder. Still though, warm tea is good.
The tea cozy is supercute! I love the teacups! Oh, and the idea of drinking tea with Totoro is loooovely. I think we have seen that movie 10 times... I love it when he jawns.. So cute!!!!
that's so cute! How dangerous, telling us that Emma Bridgewater does personalised items though...
That bunny is so silly! What a face to wake up to with a breakfast in bed.
No better way to have tea than made in a pot. I love the cosy and would love to see DD's design on the pot.
I thought of your teacosy this morning as I poured tea from my cosyless pot, very cute.
