Ah, I know how you feel. I lived with a carpet in my kitchen (yuck!), fake brick mac tac on the walls and red plastic handles on the cupboards until two weeks before we sold the house. It's tragically sad. Hopefully your new home will be in good order when you move in so you don't have to go through another set of renos.
Here's hoping that all of your tradesmen, or women, turn up on time and that the process isn't too difficult. The pile of fabric could make a nice design feature...
Piles are good. At our last house, I lived for 7 years with a phone socket dandling off the wall. It took 2 mins to fix when we put the house on the market. Why do we do it??!

Looks like you have been busy. Nice to leave a house completed though it sort of ends a chapter nicely.
